An incident at a factory in north Wales may require Commercial Cleaning services after 75 litres of liquid were spilled.
The cleaning chemical spillage took place at Rowan Foods on the town’s industrial estate and fire crews attended the incident, BBC News reports.
Understood to be a “weak acidic solution”, the liquid was tackled by members of the North Wales Fire and Rescue Service in protective clothing and breathing equipment.
According to the news source, the substance is thought to contain vinegar and bleach and a spokeswoman for the fire service said the spillage had been contained and cordoned off.
The factory’s health and safety team has been assisting with the operation and Environment Agency Wales has been informed of the incident.
Those seeking contract cleaning assistance may also be interested to note that work has commenced on clearing up a toxic spill from an aluminium plant in Hungary following the breach of a reservoir holding red sludge produced by the refining process.
