Cleaning Companies in the US are more likely to attract business if they adopt a policy of using eco-friendly products.
A study conducted by Harris Interactive on behalf of the Cintas Corporation found that 84 per cent of consumers in the country would rather deal with firms that have shown they care for the environment.
More than 1,000 adults were quizzed by researchers and their preferences regarding professionals who provide cleaning services were made clear.
Senior vice president of Cintas Facility Services Mike Thompson suggested that the public is becoming increasingly savvy towards what measures can be taken to protect the atmosphere.
“This research affirms that using environmentally-friendly cleaning products and practices has a positive impact on the environment and can help drive repeat business,” he observed.
Almost half of respondents aged between 18 and 34 were said to “strongly agree” that contract cleaning firms should do all they can to develop green cleaning techniques.
UK enterprises with a green agenda were likely to have reacted favourably to a government proposal earlier this month, which called for the testing of cleaning substances on animals to be banned across the British Isles.
