City Hall requires contract cleaning following flood

A contract cleaning operation is underway at a government building following a water leak which caused extensive flooding throughout the building.

Nampa City Hall suffered the damage over the weekend after a water pipe ruptured, causing major damage to many of the offices as well as structural problems.

City Hall spokeswoman Sharla Arledge told the Idaho Press is likely to take some time to reverse the damage, as eight inches of water leaked down to the bottom floor, though no servers were damaged.

“We were very fortunate. The servers are all downstairs but up on shelves. The water came close but didn’t reach them. That would’ve been a huge expense,” she added.

A commercial cleaning operation is now underway while employees wait to see when they will be able to return to their desk.

Powys secondary school in Welshpool recently made use of contract cleaning services following a flood which caused major disruption throughout the facility during the Christmas holidays.
