A leading retailer based in the Middle East have an exciting new opening for a Merchandising Analyst to join this award winning company.

As part of a dynamic growing brand, the role of Merchandising Analyst is pivotal to the success of the business with responsibility for ensuring all sales margins, profile updates including new stores, based on trends and performance occurs.

Working closely with the buyers and vendors to identify slow sellers and low sell through as well as identifying overstocked styles for redistribution and markdowns, you'll also be responsible for maintenance and updates of the replenishment system,

The Merchandising Analyst is located in Kuwait and will work across the London and Kuwait Office. Therefore the position will require travel.

Summary of Role's Main Purpose
In this role, the Business Merchandising Analyst will be responsible for developing strong partnerships with Planning/Allocation to gain insight and knowledge of the strategic direction, business process, and business needs of the Merchandising area and translate them into value-added Information Technology deliverables.

The Merchandising Analyst will play an integral role, directly impacting business growth through hands-on analysis and reporting. This is a high profile position that will provide strategic analytical information and expertise to management throughout the organization.

Principle Responsibilities
• Work at developing reports, tools and dashboards to support the business of MS Retail decision-making.
• Work at analyzing merchandising, inventory, purchasing; logistics and customer trends and communicate findings to various levels of management.
• Analysis of the business by vendor including sales and stock balance.
• Develop sales and stock plans on a seasonal basis.
• Aid in the development of customer survey instruments and the implementation of these to the workplace.
• Work at analysis of customer survey results, new market and customer acquisition research and the design of new customer analytics.
• Work closely with end users to understand, analyze and define user information requirements.
• Work closely with IT developers to create, verify and deliver retail solutions that have been defined.
• Analyze and evaluate requirements for systems solutions that improve business processes and increase productivity.
• Perform testing activities, included user test plan creation and data and test execution
• Prepare detailed data flow diagrams and be proficient/Advanced in Excel, Word and Visio. Worked with large volumes of data and have the ability to manipulate and query from.
• Analyze and recommend opportunities in new styles that have good performance trends.


Experience and Qualifications
• 4+ years experience in merchandising analysis
• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Ability to "roll up your sleeves" to accomplish objectives
• In-depth understanding of merchandising intelligence and strong statistical analysis and problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently or in a group setting with a complex flow of information
• Advanced analysis skills and in-depth understanding of market intelligence, category management and merchandising analytics
• Proven ability to drill down and translate data into actionable initiatives for management throughout the organization
• Use of reporting/business intelligence software and development of analytical reports and the ability to run ad-hoc analyses
• Exceptional written, presentation and interpersonal skills and proven ability to interact effectively at all levels within an organization.
• Good English language skills.
